[Profile] Playing in a punk band was where I first connected creativity and lifestyle..."
Talan Memmott is a native San Franciscan, born in 1964. His life has generated
many interesting experiences. These range from being part of the punk scene, in
bands like Sloppy Kafka and Sneeky Cheese, to being part of the success in the
web design business Percepticon. Beyond his part in the design company, he also
spearheaded Temoralimages, a fine art viewing site launched in 1995, and
Beehive, a community of featured net art and literary texts, which launched in
1998. As one might expert, it is tough to nail Talan down to one thing. Even
making his way through college was a ever changing journey. Starting as a
linguistics/anthropology major, he traveled through the likes of philosophy,
Music composition, and history, eventually landing himself in Fine Arts and Art
History majors. Today he still resides in San Francisco were he does much of
the design editing for Percepticon in addition to pursuing his artistic
endeavors.
