[Intro] Crankbunny is an experimental research site devoted to the blurring of net art and video where the artists explore the malleable nature of digital narrative and experiential interaction. Unlike any animation you find on TV, the work contained here looks and feels like a cross-genre mix of goth, horror, industrial and ambient metal (as if there could be such a thing). The animated characters that float through the visual space are eerie and possessed, part human, part animal, part monster, and part artificial intelligence. The figures are stranger than life, but are still of this world. They are people you know, but you just never see them this way. They are the future of human emotion subjected to living in a machinistic state. They are Crankbunny.
