[Intro] Empty Velocity is a journey. It is an experience of high-speed travel through many interzones. The terminals act as ports. The airport metaphor creates cybergeographical drift, and points toward the portal of Otherness that always awaits us. Or does it? The web is a systematic database of arrivals and departures. Links are both launching pads and transitional rhetorical devices that signal a near-future destination. Are we there yet?
