Who : A student in arthistory
Where : In her room
With : Too much homeworks
Doing : Research on google for a mid-term assignment about Jackson Pollock
When : The evening before the falling date.
Lauphing type : HeartyAlways at the last minute, that’s how it is. Five classes per semester : that’s way too much. Next semester, I’ll definitely take four classes instead of five and catch up during the summer semester. Ok, so let’s face it, I have this midterm assignment about Jackson Pollock’s dripping method due tomorrow. I really don’t have time to go to the library, but who needs a library today anyway? I know what dripping is, it’s a technique invented by Pollock. It consists in making a whole in the paint can and drip the paint in a laying canvas.
I don’t want to be picky but Internet is full of non-official websites. I actually trust more the “.org” than the .com or .ca. .Org was intended for non-profit organizations or organizations of non commercial character. So I type the jacksonpollock.org and all I see is a white page. I start to move my cursor to realize that colors spread in the page and follow my cursor. If I stop moving it, it creates a huge amount of color. When I click, it changes the color. I’m actually experimenting the dripping. I can’t stop, cause I really want to create this “all over” effect. Learning dripping by doing one, or at least simulating it : sounds like a very heuristic exercise….
