If biennale.py and forkbomb are art, why not software applications that allow anyone to construct viruses? Is intent what separates artists from criminals, anarchists and hackers? Would the kids who wrote the software linked to by hacker archive be welcomed by the contemporary art world or the net art world with open arms?
